Through using ink and water color, i came out of my comfort zone due to one issue was me being afraid of the water color blending with the ink. one of my pros on this piece was Abraham Lincoln's sketch. One of my greatest cons was the water color. i choose to do this piece because it shows how powerful Abraham lincoln was back in the day and what better way to present him other than him being on a bear!
Through drawing me in charcoal for the first time ever, i learned how to draw a nose and the face ratio. this piece is without doubt the hardest due to it being really difficult to prefect areas since its my first time. I LOVE HOW I CAME OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE!
through out this piece i've developed different techniquies with collage and developed Abraham lincoln in the front ground and add the blue lines for balance. the background was created by adding white tape and ripping it fast, this was the first time i've ever used this specific background technique. I added the two blue lines that connect with Abraham lincoln so they could balance the piece off, but it didn't end up so well. i really enjoyed the acrylic paint that were on the sides. The mixture of blue colors popped the piece.
by working on oil paint for the first time ever, i've appreciated oil paint a lot and i will surely be doing another one very soon on my own but next time i will make sure to develope a calm background and a vibrant front ground. i was really excited about this piece at the beginning as soon as i got to the face i lost it and took a really easy route. so i made a layered top background. My next piece will defiantly not look like this one; i was really disappointed with my self for not creating an outstanding piece, and instead i leaned towards basic background.
By working on this piece I learned not too judge the piece fast and quit on it easily. I enjoyed working on Contour line drawing. However, next time when I approach contour line drawing I will lean towards a Picasso type of art. I liked how it was realistic and not at the same time. I would love to work on bigger sized paper when interpenetrating this type of art.
Since we're doing architecture, I've decide to do Kuwait towers, they are 3 tower and are very tall, they are based on white and blue and the towers are very near the sea, I've haven't had much time to work on this piece and giving it the details that it needs due to my surgery, although that has effected my time the towers have a beautiful color combination that make them unique from other buildings and iv'e truly enjoyed using watercolor in this piece.
Through this fruit series i've drawn the dragon friut.I've gone through a few rough drafts in my sketch book and landed great sketchs. the tricky part is developing the sketchs into a well done art series. i've used 3 different matierials in this art series, they were: markers, watercolor and pencil. overall this has been the first time i've drawn fruit in 8 years and it most diffentaly got me mad and frustrated becuase they aren't s well done as I hoped them to be. But the good news is that i've learned value in drawing the leaves, if I were to approach it next time i would use the outer shell of the dragon friut and deffiently highlight the colors more.
